Top 5 Emcee's

This is gonna be unfavorable due to regions and a few of my selections are interchangeable. That's my disclaimer. So I don't want none of ya'll nigga's coming at me sideways. I don't have security I'm just a blog writer.

So I've been watchin MTV and ESPN. There talking about the G.O.A.T.'s of sports and hip hop, right now. I disagreed. So I thought I'd make my own list. Alot of people are gonna flip at my list but Im gonna give you the real. Im gonna start at five and work my way up. Even though Im a west coast dude, I was fair. In fact there are no West Coast artist in my top 5. There are also no old school artist's and no Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket. Nothing personal just a lack of consistency.
Ok, here we go number 5 is a tie at the moment between Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket and Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket. Who would have thought that Wayne could spit ether? This boy is on fiyah. Verse after verse after verse. He's hit or miss on his solo joints but when he's with his peers, the boy is fire. Unlike 3000, who flows just as good on the solo tip. However 3 stacks can't hold it down by himself, because he doesn't put out enough work. Weezy has had like 1,232 mixtapes in 6 months. Andre's flow is poetry. Something of beauty and intelligence. He can "keep it real" without sounding stupid. Weezy however talks about the same old shit, but he does it his way which, if you honestly take away your contempt for southern cats and think about it is very similar to Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket who is number 4. B.I.G. would be higher but he didn't have a massive body of work, no fault of his own. His tales of the same old shit were masterpieces. The monotonous tales of bitches, guns, expensive cars, clothes and jewelry sounded as poetic as Mos Def singing about his mama. However, when you really think about it, B.I.G. was a foul nigga. "...you didn't know that we be shittin on hoes bitch..." -Bustanut. "...don't you know my nigga Gutta fucking kidnap kids/fuck 'em in they ass, throw 'em over the bridge..." -Beef. "...if Faye (Faith Evans his then wife) had twins she'd probably have two pacs..." -Brooklyns Finest. I had to take away for subject matter so foul that you just hummed those parts of the song.
My number 3 is controversial because 1) This is a new artist and 2) He really has nobody of work except a few mixtapes. In my defense, this artist is 3 because of quality. Not quantity. He brings back the old feeling of hip hop being inventive, creative and fun without such vulgarity. Like 1989. Number 3 Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket. Man. If you value keeping it real you gotta love Lupe Fiasco. A muslim who skateboards? Man if hip hop is being original, than Lupe is hip hop. If hip hop is being intelligent than Lupe is hip hop. Check out "American Terrorists". Very reminiscent of Ras Kass on "Nature Of The Threat", just done more cleverly and much shorter. If hip hop is clever world play than Fiasco is hip hop, check out "What It Do". A slamming album for a first timer. In fact the album was so good that it was executively produced by Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Number 2, aka The Big Homie, aka Presidente Carter aka Hov. Man, "What More Can I Say". The older is portfolio of music gets, the better. His flow is like wine, in that way. Man!!! Listen to the knowledge and the honesty and sensitivity in "Beach Chair", "Justify My Thug", "December 4th", "Moment Of Clarity". Think about how well he meshes with Pharell, and let's keep it real..."If I ain't better than B.I.G., Im the closest one...". Think about how he can be smooth, funny, hood, and an open book, on one c.d. Then his business moves. His "off the court" strategies. Selling Roc-a-Fella. Becoming the President of the label that bought it from him. Having more say so on Roc-a-fella projects, not to mention other Def Jam products.. Expanding more than music. Taking Puff's design and running with it. Man you'd be willing to make Jay-Z the president of hip hop. No one ever has been considered that position except for number uno Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket. R.I.P. Because you still listen to "Me Against The World". Because you still know 90percent to all the damn words on "All Eyes On Me". Because 99 percent of rappers want to be him. Because he could be Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket at the same time. Without coming off as fake. He embodied truth. Could you imagine if he was alive now. He'd be a hybrid of Kanye's brashness, Nas's lyrical gift, Mos Def's conscienceness, Eminem's attitude, and 5o cents stature. Or maybe their all just a piece of him?
That's my top five emcee's and my explanations. Again please feel free to email me to add on anymore names. Respect my decisions bitches. If you don't feel free to email me. If you don't want to to either of my suggestions. If you wanna be ignorant and add an idiot on to my list. In true 2pac style kiss my black ass. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Im not about no foolishness. Im about intergrity. I listen to all perspectives and opinions. I respect all view points and am open minded. My opinions may change, because my opinions are educated. I stay in them books, ya'll. I wanted to do a blog froma a Hip Hop perspective. Hip Hop is not just a music, it's a culture. Usually when you come to a hip hop blog, it's about gossip in the music world. There will be no gossip here. No agenda's, no grudges. Just Hip Hops perspective. Us against the world. It's perspective on politics, sports, literature, music and of course this society in which we live. So with that being said, please enjoy.

About me.....In a nutshell, call me G.C. Grew up all over Los Angeles, economically challenged. Dad was a drug dealer on his downfall when I was born. Went to jail, wasn't around. Mom was a hustler herself, but still we were broke. Moved to E. 82nd Street, Los Angeles, California 90001 when I was 10. It was bad then, it's bad now. Big culture shock. Learned that the word nigga' was no big deal. Adapted quickly, and loved it.

Like everyone else I had demons in my life, which I had to destroy. You'll become familiar with these demons as we grow together. I always valued education. My mother put me in the best schools, even if it meant using a friends address. I was born a Muslim and feared nothing but God. I've never drank or smoked. Just a personal choice. Im able to have a friendly chat with an old pal from Brentwood, or sit outside on my nigga's porch talking shit about whateva'. I prefer the latter.
I will try and update my blog as frequently as possible, and also try to have good music that hip hop folks can enjoy. Feel free to email me about anything. I encourage it. Hope you enjoy, and maybe it can become something bigger than a blog.

Peace
